A certain basketball team that has played 2/3 of its games has a record of 17 wins and 3 losses. What is the greatest number of the remaining games that the team can lose and still win at least 3/4 of all of its games?
(A) 7
(B) 6
(C) 5
(D) 4
(E) 3

    after completing 20 games , the team has completed 2/3 of the games , so totally there are 30 games .
    if team has to win 3/4 of 30 games , it should win 22 games atleast . so max no of games it can afford to loose is 8 , as they already lost 3 , max it can afford to loose of the remaining matches is 5

    since the team has to win 3/4 of 30 games, the team has to win at least 22.5 and that is 23 games (not the 22 games as you said)...so answer is D.
